Win the chance to be the star of our new radio advert!
We’re on the lookout for someone between the ages of 4 and 11 who lives in the Cheshire and Merseyside area to help us tell Radio City’s listeners why it’s so important to wash our hands.
By washing our hands, we can help prevent the spread of winter bugs and diseases and continue to enjoy the simple things that still mean a lot. Such as going to the cinema with friends, having family days out and trips to the park.
To enter, all we need is a short 4–5-line poem that tells us what the simple things are to you and why it’s important to keep washing our hands.
If your poem is chosen, we’ll then invite you to spend the day at Radio City’s studio to record your poem and have it played out across the city!
Below, we’ve put together an example of the type of poem and length we’re looking for.
To enter, simply write a short poem and have a grown-up complete the submission form or send a copy of a picture of it to – competition@simplethings-nhs.com
The closing date is Thursday 12th January 2023.
Good luck!
“Washing our hands is such a simple thing,
You only need soap and warm water and to give them a good clean,
All it takes is 20 seconds,
Which really is quite quick,
Especially when it helps everyone this winter not to get sick!”
Brought to you by your local council and supported by the NHS in Cheshire and Merseyside.
